MNJYSA has adopted a Club Pass system which allows any eligible player with a valid NJ YS pass to play in any MNJYSA game for their Club. For a player to be eligible the following conditions must be met:
1) They must be the proper age, subject to current NJ YS age guidelines
2) They must hold a valid BHYSC NJ YS pass.
NJ YS maximum game day roster limits are still in effect.
To be clear, overage players cannot play on a younger age team.
The purpose of this rule is to allow younger and players on lower flighted teams to "play up" when appropriate. The purpose of this rule IS NOT to bring players from higher flighted teams to play on lower flighted teams to win games or flights. BHYSC is firmly against sandbagging.
The use of club passes should NOT impact a team, in any way, or conflict with a game of the players primary team. Players MUST make their primary team the priority.
BHYSC will allow coaches the flexibility to fully implement the rule, subject to good judgement. The only requirement is that the BHYSC Board is requiring all coaches who are forced to use a higher flighted player for a game to notify Mick Smith and Chris McGowan by e-mail. In the e-mail, please include the following information:
1)Game details - Your team name, Opponent Club, team and game number
2) Player
3) Brief Description of reason for using this player.
Failure to adhere the rules and process could result in a penalty, up to and including, expulsion from the BHYSC.
